Ocean Eyes Co., Ltd. has decided to receive support from Kyoto University Innovation Capital Co., Ltd. (“Kyoto iCAP”) (Headquarters: Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Representative Director: Koji MUROTA) and JAMSTEC.
The Innovation Kyoto 2016 Investment Limited Partnership with Kyoto iCAP as general partner invested about 30 million yen in Ocean Eyes on November 29. This is Ocean Eyes’s first outside financing. Ocean Eyes has also been certified as a JAMSTEC venture because it makes use of its intellectual property. This is the third JAMSTEC venture. With this support, Ocean Eyes will officially release “Fishing ground navigation” on December 6, a service for fishery operators that has been under development and user verification for some time.
