On July 25, 2019, Iiyama Laboratory at Kyoto University, one of the parent organizations of the Ocean Eyes research, was informed that it was selected as a project to renew the “Kyoto University Incubation Program”.
This program is to support a project in which researchers and entrepreneurs collaborate to commercialize the research results of Kyoto University and raise funds from VC. The proposal of Iiyama Laboratory “Sustainable ocean” was adopted last year, and this will be the second term. Ocean Eyes Co., Ltd., an operating company, has also been established, and the funds received will be used to advance the practical application of the technology and to raise funds from VC.
